Well due to it's size and real welding current ability than it's not bad at all. But of course it cannot make the dedicated values.

just curious you know all your stuff but don't wear an air fed mask is it not mandatory in the us? it is here in the uk although many people don't use them still I wouldn't be without my speed glass now especially when welding stainless

Ladt casting i welded on was a merc lower unit...it literally welded like 6061 i was amazed

I dont like salty aluminum but beings im on the coast and strong majority of everything i do is salt wster based, towers handrails...boat parts, ill do castings but yhere is zero guarantee or warranty told ahead of time

I have to agree I love my 325 but man the fans are loud!!! Fixed that by just using earplugs.

If you don't have the ability to purge Solar Flux is an awesome product! It's a powder that needs to be made into a paste to cover the joints on the back side of your welds. I used it on my turbo manifold with sch10 stainless and was very happy with how well it worked

Bottle half a size of that yours comes at 80€ here, so roughly speaking around 160 for what you have.. Just saying, not everywhere argon is 52USD or 26USD for smaller bottle, thats like a steal lol.

I do happen to MIG Weld Professionally....for over 15 years... That is not a cold weld... In my line of work...a Cold Weld...is a FAILED WELD... It is NOT ACCEPTABLE... There is No Fusion...or Penetration of the weld to Hold together what you are trying to weld together.... A Cold Weld actually looks like a Piece of silly string just lying on top of the Joint.... It looks more like a Rolled weld...with No penetration on either side of the Bead of weld... I also repair MIG welds....produced by MIG ROBOT WELDERS... There are many factors that can cause cold...or rolled welds...caused by the MIG ROBOTS...or from someone hand welding... Such factors are...Speed...Voltage...of the MIG welder...and Distance of the Nozzle from what you are welding....

Always said fit up and prep are 90% of good welding. Make every weld better than your last.

I’ve had mine for 5 years and think it’s great for a small machine shop with occasional welding when quality work is necessary

I have a small 80cu tank and am worried about running out of gas mid way through if I were to backpurge. It Solar Flux B capable of correctly shielding exhaust piping for the hobbyist or would you still recommend argon purging?

how thick do you estimate that was. I have 1/16" filler and I need to repair a throttle body that the edges are about .030, but if i was to build it up thicker it wouldn't matter.
